Residents Have A Say In Sayre Park Improvements

City of Glenwood Springs

Sayre Park in Glenwood Springs is due for an upgrade; an online survey asks the community what changes they’d like to see.

The seven-acre park is in the heart of Glenwood Springs. It’s where Strawberry Days is hosted every June.

The landscape architects making the upgrades are proposing three options, ranging from touching up the park to making some major changes.

In option one, the park would get basic improvements, like resurfacing the existing basketball courts.

In option two, the park would add another basketball court and synthetic turf on the part of the baseball field.

The biggest changes would occur in option three. One of the tennis courts would be converted into pickleball courts, and terraces would be built around sledding hill, where there’d be seating and gardens.

The community survey closes on Tuesday.
