Week In The Arts: July 8 - 14, 2019

Welcome to another week in the Roaring Fork Valley! This is Week in the Arts, a curated list of upcoming exhibitions and events.

Monday, Explore Booksellersin Aspen hosts a discussion between Ndaba Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela, and Teddy Warria. They will speak about the Mandela legacy and how today's young people can address social issues. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Explore.

 

Tuesday, the Baldwin Gallery in Aspen screens the documentary “Nieve en Ee Portal: El niño que se fue regresa un artista.” The film details artist Enrique Martinez Celaya’s return to his native Cuba after 47 years.  The screening begins at 6 p.m. 

Tuesday through Sunday, Rare Aspen, an antiques, art, and jewelry show, visits the Aspen Ice Garden. Attendees can browse collections and hear presentations from dealers and antique experts.
