Carbondale’s Third Street Center is five years old this summer, and it might be due for an upgrade. The Center is home to several nonprofits and other entities, and hosts lots of public events.
Executive Director Colin Laird and others are reviewing how things have gone so far. “If anything we underestimated how well it would be used,” he says. “And in many ways we’re at capacity and we want to meet the needs of the community and the region.” To make sure there’s lots of feedback, 3rd Street is surveying users, and preparing an updated Master Plan this fall. Any changes to the Center could be proposed this winter.
