Mountain Family joins four of the biggest employers in the Aspen area, which created the Valley Health Alliance to help workers get healthier and save money for employees and employers.
Mountain Family Executive Director Ross Brooks says that vision overlaps with his organization’s mission to better serve staff and the wider community. “Over the long run we expect to control total health care costs,” he said Thursday, “and therefore pay less in health insurance costs over the long run. For our employees and for their families.”
VHA programs include testing workers for significant health problems, connecting them with primary care providers, and providing coaches to help employees tackle high blood pressure and other issues. Employers include Pitkin County and the Aspen Skiing Company.
