Second suspect identified in Friday's homicide

  The Garfield County Coroner’s Office today identified the young woman who was murdered Friday evening.

 

28-year-old Blanca Judith Jurado Salas was shot multiple times at an apartment complex near Glenwood Springs on Friday.

 

Gustavo Olivo-Tellez, 27, has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held in the Garfield County Jail. A SWAT team in Grand Junction apprehended him on Saturday morning. He was also wanted on a previous domestic violence warrant.  

 

Michelle Castillo, 24, is also being held as a possible accessory to the crime. This is the first homicide of the year in Garfield County. There will be an advisement of the charges for both Olivo-Tellez and Castillo tomorrow, Oct. 11.
