Aspen Words Writer in Residence Grant Faulkner is giving a talk Tuesday evening about everything from short stories to the process of writing full length novels.

Faulkner's job description goes far beyond writer. He’s also co-founder of the lit journal 100 Word Story and executive director of National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. He said that organization is particularly empowering for all kinds of writers.

“NaNoWriMo has opened people up to being like ‘I can do that’ on so many levels, and especially with young people, I just think it’s amazing,” Faulkner said.

Faulkner’s talk will touch on creativity, writing short stories and of course the benefits of NaNoWriMo. The event takes place at 5:30 at the Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar.
