What has APR done for you lately? Provided live coverage of historic events from D.C.

Architect of the Capitol

Over the past few months, we have brought you live coverage of major historic events happening in Washington. These include the Senate intelligence committee hearings with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former FBI director James Comey.

When we go live, we are also sharing posts on our website where the NPR news team is fact checking what those testifying are saying. We did this for both Sessions and Comey when they testified.

Our operations manager and afternoon host Morgan Neely explained why these offerings are so important to him.

“NPR and APR have taken me inside senate intelligence committee hearings. Not only have I had the opportunity to listen to these hearings in unadulterated form, I've also benefited from NPR's insightful analysis following them,” he said. “NPR correspondents Mara Liasson, Scott Detrow and Nina Totenberg are all among the best in their field, and their work is only possible because of contributions that I, and so many of you, give to public radio. Continue to support their excellent reporting and our ability to air it by becoming a member of Aspen Public Radio today!”

During our Summer Pledge Drive, we’re highlighting some of the services we are able to offer the community at Aspen Public Radio because of donations from people like you. To make a donation, click here.
