TACAW’s The Temporary to open this weekend

The Arts Campus at Willits’ interim space opens this weekend kicking off with a concert Sunday.

The Temporary is an up-and-coming hub for music, comedy, cinema and lectures to start. Think performance hall meets nightclub. TACAW’s managing director Ryan Honey said this is huge for arts both in Basalt and the midvalley.

“I just feel like a performance venue where great acts from all over the country can come is past due,” Honey said.

In the fall, the nonprofit wants to introduce a form of kids programming to provide opportunities to young people interested in what makes the theater tick.

The new venue is located in a Willits warehouse. More than a handful of shows have already been announced, with Canadian singer-songwriter Jessica Allossery on Sunday.
