Jackson Emmer Plays Carbondale's Mountain Fair On Friday

Carbondale musician Jackson Emmer is an Americana singer/songwriter. He’s been touring nationally, but he comes home Friday night for Mountain Fair.

Jackson Emmer thought he had a plan for recording his new album ‘Jukebox.’ Like most artists, he recorded a few practice sessions at home.  Then he headed into a studio. But he didn’t like the sound of the studio version.

"And I went back and recorded it at home with my friends, and that’s the version that you hear," he said.

Emmer grew up in Carbondale, and is back in the valley after a stint in Asheville, North Carolina. He says that "Jukebox" is a musical homecoming.

"A lot of this music is really about embracing the valley as home," he said.

Jackson Emmer takes the stae at Mountain Fair on Friday. The festival runs through the weekend. It features art and crafts vendors and more live music from Down North and the Dendrites.
