Carbondale Arts ready to 'Deck the Walls' with regional artists

Carbondale Arts is getting into the holiday mood with its annual “Deck the Walls” art market opening this week.

The market opens to the public Friday at the R2 gallery inside the Launchpad in downtown Carbondale.

This year, it features works by more than 60 artisans from the Roaring Fork Valley and across the state. Items include candles, cards, jewelry, chocolates, ceramics and soaps, as well as a wide variety of handmade wares.

There are also several special events at the market this year.

Expect extended hours and festivities around town on Dec. 2 for “Light Up Carbondale” and First Friday. Photos with Santa are scheduled for Dec. 9, and the Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra will perform Dec. 11.
