Hurst Community Initiative: Re-Energizing Carbondale’s Local Economy

This event was recorded on May 25, 2022 as part of the Hurst Community Initiative Town Hall Speaker Series, in partnership with Aspen Public Radio.

The Town Hall “Re-Energizing Carbondale’s Local Economy” will feature a discussion with Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Andrea Stewart; Independence Run & Hike Owner, Brion After; 5Point Adventure Film Festival Executive Director, Luis Yllanes; and Bonfire Coffee General Manager, Tamara Haynes-Norton. Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade's Executive Director, Pat Meyers will moderate an engaging discussion on how a handful of local businesses weathered the pandemic recession and emerged stronger than ever. Together we'll hear first-hand from a handful of Carbondale's most iconic enterprises about what they did, how they did it, and why. We hope the lessons they learned will help support businesses in small communities across the region.
