Christopher Biddle
News Director, KBUTChristopher Biddle grew up on a sheep farm in Vermont. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson Colllege in 2011 and moved to Crested Butte that winter. Chris started volunteering as a DJ in 2013 and was inspired to pursue a career in radio. In 2015, he attended the Center for Documentary Studies Summer Audio Workshop. His print reporting has appeared in The Mountain Times, The Chester Telegraph, and the Vermont Journal. His audio stories have appeared on Vermont Public Radio and on stations in the Rocky Mountain Community Radio network in Colorado. Chris hosts a weekly music show titled Lost In the Supermarket featuring Alt-Pop and Indie Rock, and it airs Mondays from noon to 2 pm. You can also hear Chris weekday mornings from 6 to 8 as KBUT’s Morning Edition host.

Solar panels degrade over time, but they’re still good for some purposes. Recently, a group of students at Western Colorado University helped a professor convert discarded solar panels into cellphone chargers. The chargers will go to Ukraine and Poland as part of a relief effort.
