A group that advocates for young people wants to create a mentorship program they say would grow Aspen’s economy. The Aspen Next Generation Commission will ask City Council Tuesday (9/29) for $30,000 for the program. Marci Krivonen spoke to Next-Gen Chairman Skippy Mesirow who says it could break down hurdles that lead young people to move away.
Skippy Mesirow is Chairman of the Aspen Next Generation Commission. He says the Aspen Chamber, Aspen Elks and Aspen Rotary are chipping in to help fund the proposed mentorship program. The item goes before town council during a work session, starting at 4pm.
