Welcome to the beginning of another week in the Roaring Fork Valley! This is Week in the Arts, a curated list of upcoming exhibitions and events.
All week, Lead with Love and the Wheeler Opera House hold yoga and meditation classes in the Wheeler Lobby beginning at 9:30 a.m., and lunch discussions about mindfulness at Bosq restaurant in Aspen at 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday is Glenwood Spring’s first Downtown Market of the summer, returning after a one-year hiatus due to construction on the Grand Avenue bridge. There will be food and craft vendors, as well as live music. The market opens at 4:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, six locals will be sharing tales during “Fire in the Belly: Stories of Change,” a community storytelling event taking place at Rock Bottom Ranch in Carbondale. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a barbeque and tours of the ranch. The storytelling starts at 6:30 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, “NU·TOPIA, Tour the Mystery!” takes the stage at the Wheeler Opera House. The production is an original multi-media dance production based on the music of The Beatles. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. both evenings.
Saturday is the Snowmass Rendezvous craft beer fest. Over 30 craft brewers will participate in a grand tasting on the Snowmass Mall starting at 3 p.m. That evening, the Drunken Hearts take the stage on Fanny Hill for the first concert of the Snowmass Free Concert series. The music starts at 6:00 p.m.
Sunday is the "Community Pedaleando," a celebration of cycling, health, and sustainability in the Roaring Fork Valley. Meet at North Face Park in Carbondale for activities and a family friendly bike ride. The event starts at 10:30 a.m.
