Today, we look at diversity and inclusion as it pertains to healthcare, and the emerging practice of patient-centered care. How can we even the playing field between doctor and patient? How do we give patients access to their own information and create a health arena that is going to understand and respect who they are and what their background is?

  Today we look at Health, wealth, and the ethics and values of medicine. How can we ensure everyone has access to care, even if they can’t afford it? And how can we improve healthcare, or continue researching medicine, if it isn't profitable? When is it right to raise prices on drugs? What are we saying we value when we make policy decisions about health, and healthcare? And even if we perfect the system, what does it matter if the majority of the population has no way to access physicians, medicine, or even fresh produce and clean drinking water.

Today we turn to sex, drugs and mental health. Worldwide, sexually-transmitted diseases are on the rise. Many cultures don’t discuss sex in public and debates are ongoing about teaching reproductive health. When it comes to giving birth, mothers find varying degrees of support during prenatal check-ins, and many receive no support at all once the baby has arrived.

Today we look at the broad scope of health and medicine as we know it. How do we define these terms in the United States and around the world? What are we getting right, and what still needs work?
