commons.wikimedia.org

Carbondale recently welcomed a high ranking Buddhist leader, for a retreat on how people think about the world and how to change that. Boston-based Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi Rinpoche works with MIT as leader of the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values.

Venerable Tenzin regularly meets with other religious leaders concerning issues around the world, and was ordained as a monk by the highly respected Dalai Lama himself. Venerable Tenzin led a retreat at the Carbondale Way of Compassion Dharma Center this past weekend, and spoke with Aspen Public Radio’s Elise Thatcher beforehand.
