Garfield County Links Two Outbreaks To Religious Gatherings

Sunday, August 2 - Garfield County health officials said Friday that two congregations have seen COVID-19 spread among their members. 14 lab-confirmed COVID-19 positive cases and another 6 probable cases among congregants are being linked to one house of worship, and another church has reported similar spread among its members.

County health officials are reminding anyone gathering in groups to practice social distancing and wear masks. They also say singing related activities, like choir, can accelerate the spread of droplets in an indoor setting. They're reminding anyone who feels sick to stay home to stop the spread of the virus.
