Fulford Cave is about 15 miles southeast of Eagle. It is one of more than 600 caves in Colorado, and it is currently designated as the eighth largest. Listen to sounds recorded inside of the cave on a Spring spelunking trip.

Nobel Prize award winning physicist, Duncan M. Haldane, writes quantum physics equations on a chalk board at the Aspen Center for Physics. The Aspen Center for Physics became an independent non-profit corporation in 1968, and is located in the residential West end of town. Hosting over 1,000 physicists each year, the campus has over 200 chalkboards.

The Roaring Fork River gives our valley its name. It's 70 miles long and flows through several canyons.
