  • The sound of Perham Creek, recorded on the Perham Creek Trail in Carbondale.
  • Fulford Cave is about 15 miles southeast of Eagle. It is one of more than 600 caves in Colorado, and it is currently designated as the eighth largest. Listen to sounds recorded inside of the cave on a Spring spelunking trip.
  • Taking place monthly on Saturday evenings, Roaring Fork Contra Dance is a special night of called dances and live music that brings people together to share in community.   • In December 2022, the highly anticipated St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship took place in Rio Grande Park in downtown Aspen, CO.   • Nobel Prize award winning physicist, Duncan M. Haldane, writes quantum physics equations on a chalk board at the Aspen Center for Physics. The Aspen Center for Physics became an independent non-profit corporation in 1968, and is located in the residential West end of town. Hosting over 1,000 physicists each year, the campus has over 200 chalkboards.
  • The Roaring Fork River gives our valley its name. It's 70 miles long and flows through several canyons. Sourced from Independence Lake, it flows west through Aspen, Woody Creek, Basalt, and Carbondale, with its mouth located in Glenwood Springs. Listen to the summer sounds of the Roaring Fork River.

  • Taking place on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., rain or shine, the Snowmass Rodeo is the longest running rodeo in Colorado, celebrating its 48th season in 2022. Listen to the sounds of team roping, petting zoos, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding from the Snowmass Rodeo.
  • Located just 10 miles west of Aspen, up Maroon Creek Road off Highway 82, stands the 14,000-foot peaks known as the Maroon Bells.
