“I find uncommon nuances in everyday occurrences & unlikely intersections. Noting the change in density of a shadow when one overlaps another. The power of multiples as a unit versus the fragility of an individual piece. The repetition of lines throughout our surroundings specifically parallels or in a grid formation. The obscurity of transparent layers. With these observations in mind, I make ceramic objects, both functional & sculptural.”
On view: May 8 to June 6, 2026Opening Reception & Artist Talk: Friday, May 8 from 5 PM- 7 PM
The gathering will be featuring typewriters from community members. Bring your typewriter or grab one that's been gathering dust. If you don't have one, just come and have a drink and admire these machines from a not so bygone era.
When Ann thinks of her father, she immediately remembers playing Peter Pan in her hometown theater in Iowa, particularly when he used to bring her flowers after her performance. Her memory is jogged by the fact that she and her four siblings are in their father’s hospital room during his final moments. His death sparks a conversational wake that includes everything from arguments over politics to when each sibling realized that they grew up. A loving look at a family’s view of death, life, and the allure of never growing up.
